Personally, I don't recommend that approach, as the disparity in art styles is rather jarring. Some people try countering this, by creating a mixed art style, where the standard pixel art graphics are used for things like tilesets & character graphics, while the more complex 3d images are used for face graphics, pictures, & animated cut scenes. The real problem with importing these files, is the standard image sizes are illsuited to 3d creation engines, because of the potential pixel numbers to work with, tend to make the images look rather ugly. As Kitty rightly pointed out, the program only cares about file format, & to a lesser extent image dimensions. Yes people have been doing so for years, though rarely with much success. :) Newbie here.Ĭan you import 3d style objects & use them in RPG Maker? I saw a video for VX Ace on a game that looks like a Playstation 1 Game: Koruldia?ĭunno if this might be what you're looking to achieve, but I figured maybe the developer there can help you answer the questions you have w/ the software? Hey, sorry that I don't know the answer to your question, but I just wanted to say that you are SUPER talented and I hope that you are able to figure out how to achieve 3D implementation! TLDR: can I actually scale down my 3D chars, render them in the needed poses and make my own sprites OR would it be best to just make look-a-likes and use the renders as dialog graphics? Same with interior stuff, I really wanted to have a more "3D" looking style with my interiors and whatnot, but from all I've seen so far I'm thinking that might not be feasible. What I'm wanting to know is this: could I take that character of mine, and then render her out at 48x48 front, back, side, etc and create my own sprite that way OR do I just use something like GCM PE and make something similar to her and then use a rendered headshot for her dialogs? I mainly make and sell products that are used in Daz Studio (here's a sample shot of one of my recent characters)
